UMD’s Hughes selected to U.S. U23 roster and Hockey Women’s National Festival

University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) center Gabbie Hughes has been selected as one of 84 players that have been invited to the 2021 USA Hockey Women’s National Festival.
The soon-to-be senior scored 10 goals and added 11 assists in 19 games last season. She will join former teammate Maddie Rooney.
Hughes was selected to the U23 roster, and will take part in the festival that will serve as a pre-camp for the U.S. Women’s National Team. They are set leave August 10 for Calgary, Alberta, and the 2021 IIHF Women’s World Championship.
The festival is set take place august 5 through the 13th in Blaine, Minn.
