Huskies score early to snap skid, split series with Willmar

The Duluth Huskies scored three runs in the first three innings, fueling their 9-2 victory over the Willmar Stingers on Sunday afternoon.

With the win the Huskies split their series with the Stingers and snapped a five game losing skid.

Michael Brooks led the Huskies offensively tallying three RBI, three hits, and two runs, while Ambren Voitik contributed two RBI and two hits.

Will McEntire pitched nine strikeouts from the mound for Duluth.

Duluth (8-8) will stay at home Monday, opening a two game series against the Mankato MoonDogs. First pitch is set for 6:35pm.
