One-vehicle crash on I-35 leads to long lines of traffic
A woman crashed while travelling northbound on Interstate 35 through a construction zone near Mesaba Avenue in Duluth around 6:30 p.m. October 14th.
The driver of the Toyota Rav 4, 78 year-old Janice Cohen of Duluth was travelling through a construction zone when she struck a barrier and flipped the car into its roof.
The Minnesota State Patrol says that alcohol was not a factor in the accident and Cohen was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Patrols on the scene clearing the highway, as long lines of traffic formed.
Cohen was taken to St. Lukes Hospital where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The Duluth Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance helped assist with the crash.
The highway is now clear for through traffic.
