Former UMD captain Nick Wolff inks extension with Boston Bruins

Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) men’s hockey captain Nick Wolff has inked a new deal in Boston.

The defenseman has signed a one-year, two-way contract extension with the Boston Bruins. It carries a $750,000 salary cap at the NHL level.

Since signing with Boston as a free agent in 2020, Wolff has suited up in 58 games for their AHL affiliate the Providence Bruins registering 11 points.

In 156 games played from 2016-2020 at UMD he tallied 53 points capturing two national titles.
