WCHA names Tracy Dill interim commissioner

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women’s hockey team will be skating under an interim league commissioner for the 2022-2023 season.

The Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) announced Tuesday they’re bringing on retired Bemidji State University Athletic Director Tracy Dill to serve as Jennifer Flower’s temporary replacement.

In the WCHA’s release Board Chair Kevin Buisman, "indicated that the work of the NCAA’s Transformation Committee, currently in the process of a historical re-drafting that body’s Constitution, made an interim appointment the right strategy at this time."

The release went on to state that, "the WCHA will likely begin a national search for a full-time replacement at a date to be determined next spring."
