WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 9 inches. Locally higher accumulations up to 12 inches in the Brainerd Lakes area.
WHERE...In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Pine, South Aitkin, and South and Cass Counties. In Wisconsin, Bayfield and Douglas Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Red Cliff Band and the Mille Lacs Band, East Lake, Hinckley and, Lena Lake areas. Other locations including the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.

WHERE...Portions of west central and northwest Minnesota.

IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. Prepare for slick and snow covered roads. Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling snow. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Greatest impacts will be tied to heavy snowfall rates. Best chance for heaviest snow rates will be Wednesday morning. Warm ground temperatures will cause compaction and melting of snow, limiting total accumulation on the ground, especially during the daytime.

WHERE...Northern Aitkin, North Cass, Itasca, Carlton, South and Central St. Louis, and Northern Cook and Lake Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band, the Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy Lake area and the Bois Forte Band, Deer Creek and, Lake Vermilion areas. This also includes the Boundary Waters eastern and central area.

WHERE...Southern Cook and Southern Lake Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Grand Portage Reservation.
