UMD Football gets out to red hot start, beat Concordia St. Paul handily
The UMD Football team may not be in control of their own destiny anymore, but they did a great job taking advantage of their matchup.
On Senior day, the UMD Football team jumped out to a 24-0 lead before ultimately defeated Concordia St. Paul, 44-32.
The game started off with a touchdown pass from Kyle Walljasper to Sam Pitz, followed by a safety forced by the Bulldogs defense.
Just two minutes later, UMD struck again, as Jimmy Durocher threw the ball to Walljasper, and he had daylight in front of him.
UMD held their foot on the gas all game, as they didn’t provide Concordia St. Paul with any glimpses of hope in terms of coming back.
UMD will wrap up its regular season next weekend when they travel to #10 Minnesota State Mankato on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
