On Wednesday the College of St. Scholastica (CSS) men’s basketball team earned a close 84-74 win over Northland College in both of their season openers in Duluth.

Northland’s Drew Lindberg led the game with 23 points adding six rebounds. He was the only player to score over 13 points on either team.

Kevin Thomas led the Saints tallying 13 points and nine rebounds.

CSS starts their season 1-0. Their road opener is Saturday when they visit the University of Northwestern (Minn.) at 3 p.m.. Northland (0-1) hits the road Tuesday visiting Bemidji State University at 6 p.m..
