We get to keep the warmth coming today and tomorrow, then it’ll start feeling like November again. Our Wednesday is still mild, but a touch cooler than yesterday with more sun and less winds. Temps begin cooler in 20s and 30s, then we’ll warm back into the 50s for much of the region today with upper 40s north of the Iron Range.

High pressure briefly crosses the region today bringing sunshine. A southwest wind around 10 mph builds from the west on the backside of the high. Winds ramp up out of the south tonight with another warm front. Overnight lows will be well above average ranging from mid-30s to low 40s. Thursday will feature a strong wind gusting near 45 mph shifting from southwest in the morning to northwest in the afternoon as a strong cold front drops across the Northland. Before the cold air arrives, much of the region returns to mid-50s to low 60s. International Falls will see the front first and stay in the mid-40s.

We look behind the front from the Canadian border into the Arrowhead for rain and snow showers Thursday afternoon and evening, but the precipitation from this system should be rather minimal. Friday will be much cooler with morning temps in the 20s and wind chills in the teens. Highs will stay in mid-30s to low 40s under partly cloudy skies. The weekend will be quiet with sun and most areas managing 40s.
