The folks at the Island Lake Inn north of Duluth are not wasting any time getting into the holiday spirit.

The popular restaurant and bar up highway 4 tried something new Wednesday night and it clearly resonated with lots of locals.

People packed the Island Lake Inn for the first ever, Sip and Shop holiday event.

Yvonne Myers, Island Lake Inn marketing director said, “We do have other craft fairs, but they’re usually on a Saturday. So this is our first evening one and it’s just super fun. The weather is so nice too, we’re happy that alot of people came out”

Fresh bakery goods like sour dough bread was for sale, local artisans were also selling home made jewelry, mittens, candles and other holiday themed home decorations.
