Brandon Weatherz: Cooler but beautiful weekend ahead
It’s significantly colder out there than yesterday, so it’s time to break back out the winter coat, hat, and gloves. Temps begin in the 20s with wind chills in the teens. Keeping in mind Duluth’s average temps for this time of year with highs in the mid-30s and lows in the low 20s, we’ll still be on the mild side for a dry and sunny weekend. The weather pattern will shift next week with below average temperatures expected around Thanksgiving.
The dry stretch continues into Monday, then a rain/snow mix is possible Monday night into Tuesday. By Wednesday, our snow potential will focus on the South Shore due to northwest winds and much colder air over a warm Lake Superior. Beyond lake effect, travel isn’t currently expected to be affected on Wednesday or Thursday.
