Overnight Chisholm fire displaces residents

Monday night, firefighters in Chisholm responded to a fire on the 200th block of Central Avenue South.
When they arrived they saw a home on fire at around midnight. Crews were then able to contain the fire to the attic area of the two story home.
No injuries were reported and the Northland chapter of the American Red Cross is helping the residents that were displaced.
The Hibbing, Keewatin, and Town of French fire departments were also dispatched, but cancelled while enroute. The cause is under investigation.
