On Tuesday, Duluth East’s Corey Bachand stepped down as the boy’s soccer head coach after six years with the Greyhounds.
Bachand turned Duluth East into a soccer powerhouse upon his arrival, winning 104 games in six seasons, while only losing 26.
Bachand was named the Minnesota State High School League Coach of the Year in 2018 and 2021, both years in which he took the Greyhounds to the state tournament. In 2018, the Greyhounds lost in the state title game in overtime to Stillwater.
Duluth east will start the search for a new coach in early 2024.
