Two UMD student-athletes were named All-Americans this week, as Cianna Selbitschka and Treyvon Cahalan were named in their respective sports.
While fall sports seasons are all wrapped up, this week, two UMD student-athletes received top recognition for their work on the court and the field.
On the hardwood, UMD volleyball’s Cianna Selbitschka was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American third team for the 2023 season. The senior outside hitter held a team high in kills, points, and total attacks this season, helping lead the Bulldogs to the NCAA tournament.
On the turf, Treyvon Cahalan was named a 2023 American Football Coaches Association DII Coaches’ Second Team All-American. A graduate offensive lineman, Cahalan played a big role in UMD’s rushing offense, which led the NSIC and ranked seventh in the nation.
