Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northland get new update in time for the holiday season
Youth at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland’s Lincoln Park Branch have a lot to be excited about this holiday season. They recently had an essential space in their club remodeled thanks to support from Bell Bank and their employees.
Bell Bank employees pooled funds from their charitable giving program to gift the Lincoln Park Boys & Girls Club with $25,000. This gift enabled the Clubs to start a much-needed update of their cafeteria and game room space.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland had an immediate need to make critical updates to their aging Lincoln Park Branch. Within the Lincoln Park Branch, they have several areas for youth that allow them to provide the intentional programming that is the cornerstone of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland.
The most essential space is their Games Room and Cafeteria. This space doubles as the area where they serve their youth meals and a space for youth to engage in a wide range of activities that are both educational and fun.
As part of this much needed project, new flooring was installed in the entire space and cabinets were incorporated to create and more functional serving area for the over 10,000 meals and snacks that are served annually in this branch alone.
