One Roof Community Housing and Center City Housing poised to get over 70 million of dollars
Good news for the affordable housing efforts underway in the Northland.
The Minnesota Housing Finance Agency has recommended to its Board of Directors that One Roof Community Housing receive over $50 million dollars.
This will support their work with Community Land Trust homes, building and renovating affordable apartments, and providing home buyers down payment assistance.
“We are extremely grateful that so many of our proposals were funded at such high levels,” allowing jus the opportunity to fulfill the goals in our strategic plan,” Jeff Corey said in a statement. He’s the Executive Director for One Roof.
Center City Housing sent a statement that they have been selected for over $23 million dollars in funding for Duluth projects.
One is a renovation of the New San Marco building, which will preserve 70 units, and the other is a new construction project called Welch Place.
