Duluth man charged for possession of pornographic work involving minors

UPDATE: John Degelau, 26, of Duluth has now been charged for possession of pornographic work involving minors following his arrest Wednesday.

ORIGINAL STORY: A Duluth man has been been arrested pending charges for four counts of possession of pornographic work involving minors.

The Duluth Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit, with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations, received two cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children back in May 2022.

In March 2023 several electronic devices were seized when a search warrant was executed. The devices contained approximately 18,000 images and videos of Child Sexual Abuse Materials and child exploitive and age difficult images and videos.

790 images and 34 videos were identified as known victims.
