Prep boy’s basketball: Deer River, Duluth East use strong 2nd halves to win.
On Friday night, Deer River boy’s basketball defeated Barnum 65-53 and Duluth East beat Bloomington Jefferson, 69-57.
The Warriors and Bombers were neck and neck in the first half, however, Deer River pulled ahead for good to claim their 5th win, their third in a row.
The Warriors will look to extend that streak against Proctor on Wednesday, while Barnum faces Braham on Friday.
Duluth East was also in a tight game, but used their inside presence as a big advantage over Bloomington Jefferson en route to their first win of the season.
Duluth East will look to add a second win to their record on Friday when they face Blaine.
