Sabrina Ullman: Rainy Christmas Eve
Today will be cloudy with afternoon highs ranging from 42 degrees in Bemidji to 53 degrees in Ashland. Fog will likely persist along the South Shore into the midday time frame.
A large low-pressure system to our south will bring rain throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the U.P. today and tomorrow. Areas in northern Wisconsin will stay mostly dry until the evening, but the same areas will have more rain on Monday than their Minnesota neighbors.
This could be the warmest Christmas Eve night on record, and we will likely see Christmas Day temperatures get close to record highs as well.
There is potential for freezing rain Monday night and Tuesday morning, so post-holiday travel could be slick.
