Sabrina Ullman: Freezing rain possible today
Rain will continue on and off throughout the day. There is potential for freezing rain to mix in for areas in northern Minnesota.
Due to the risk of ice accumulation, a Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from noon today until noon Tuesday for Koochiching, Itasca, and Cook Counties as well as the northern portion of St. Louis and Lake Counties.
We already set a few record highs for today, but temperatures will drop a few degrees by the afternoon as a cold front passes through the region. Northeast winds will pick up, with winds of 20-25 mph this afternoon becoming closer to 30 mph overnight.

Rain, mainly before 4pm. Patchy fog before 3pm. Temperature falling to around 38 by 5pm. Windy, with an east wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Tonight
Rain or freezing rain. Low around 35. Windy, with an east wind 25 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no ice accumulation expected.
Tuesday
Rain or freezing rain, becoming all rain after 9am. High near 38. Windy, with an east wind 20 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Little or no ice accumulation expected.
Wednesday
A chance of rain and snow before noon, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 36. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
