Linda Nervick of the publication and website WinterFun101 tells us that there is still fun to be had- despite the unseasonably warm temps.

There’s exciting things communing up including the Ely Winter Festival on February 1- 11.

Linda recommend checking out the Snow Sculpting Symposium, where you can learn how to sculpt ice.

“Grab your mukluks.” Linda insists that you don’t need to be cold this season. “Dress in layers. Right now the layers aren’t terribly necessary.”

But be careful out on the ice and near the water. As the DNR says, no ice is 100% safe.
