The Lake Superior Ice Festival Pet Voting Contest opens for 2024
Pet owners can show off their pets in the Lake Superior Ice Festival Pet Voting Contest by registering online before January 18th. Pets can win in 3 different categories: Canine King and Queen, Felines of the Festival, or Lord and Lady of the Festival.
The Canine King and Queen contest features only dogs, Felines of the Festival will feature only cats, and the Lord and Lady of the Festival features any and all other pets.
To submit your pets for entry, head to their webpage anytime between January 1st and January 18th. There is a fee of $5 per entrant. The application requires 1 to 3 pictures of the pet’s fanciest side and some additional questions to help the community vote in each category.
Voting begins on January 19th and ends on January 22nd. There is a fee of $1 per vote. Winners will be announced during the Lake Superior Ice Festival on Saturday, January 27th at the Fairlawn Museum.
All proceeds from this event will help the Humane Society of Douglas County to provide care to the lost, homeless, and abandoned animals throughout the county. For more information on the Humane Society, head to their website.
