Cloquet police release names of people involved in Monday’s shooting
The names of the people who died in the shooting in Cloquet on Monday have been released by authorities.
The hotel clerk has been identified as 22-year-old Shellby Marie Trettel, of Cloquet. WDIO has learned there will be a vigil for Shellby tonight, Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., in the parking lot of the Super 8 Motel. The victim found in a vehicle in the parking lot is 35-year-old Patrick Jeffrey Roers, of Deer River. A GoFundMe has been set up for Patrick, also known as “Bubba” at https://www.gofundme.com/f/patrick-jeffrey-roers
And the alleged gunman is Nicholas Elliot Lenius, 32, from Ramsey. He was found with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police continue to investigate the crime and find a motive for the shooting.
