Justin Liles: Cold weather to continue!
I know it’s cold outside. This is the coldest air we’ve had all year. We’ve been waking up to brutal wind chills all weekend and start of the week. A Wind Chill Advisory is in play for the entire region until noon Tuesday. Wind chills of 25 to 35 below zero will continue through Tuesday morning and a Wind Chill Advisory is in effect. There will be slow warming trend, especially late weekend into early next week.
Light snow will also occur tonight into Tuesday evening with most receiving between a trace and 1.5”. Higher amounts will occur along the South Shore. A prolonged period of mostly light snow, adding up to 2 to 6 inches across the Bayfield Peninsula, is expected through late Tuesday evening. The snow could linger into Wednesday. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Bayfield County.
