Super One donates over $100,000 to the Salvation Army thanks to round-up campaign
During the Christmas season, Miner’s Incorporated ran a pin-pad register campaign company-wide at 42 Super One locations. During the campaign, customers were invited to donate to The Salvation Army & select Salvation Army Service Extension areas by rounding up their transaction or donating $1, $3, or $5 at check out.
The total raised this year is $100,852.33!
Separate from the generous customer donations collected at the registers, as part of the annual
Miner’s Match, Miner’s Inc. will also be presenting their $50,000 donation check for select Northland region Salvation Army locations.
Speaking on behalf of Miner’s Inc., Patrick Miner said, “Super One customers demonstrated incredible generosity during the Salvation Army register pin-pad campaign this holiday season! The amount raised reflects the community’s commitment to making a positive impact and supporting those in need.”
Miner, President of Miner’s Inc., went on to say that “Separate from the register campaign, the Miner family was proud to continue the tradition of matching Red Kettle donations made at select Northland area Red Kettles inside of Super One locations, up to $50,000. We are proud to support the Salvation Army so they can continue to help individuals and families facing various challenges.”
Cyndi Lewis, Director of Development at The Duluth Salvation Army said, “We had growing concerns about our fundraising season leading up to the holidays”, says Cyndi Lewis, Director of Development at The Duluth Salvation Army. “Times have been tough for most people, let alone the clients that come to us for assistance. Rising costs across the board mean less money for donations which means less resources we have to provide food, shelter, and care to those in need in the community. However, through Miner’s, the community really stepped up to give as much as they could, and it shows in our fundraising numbers. We just can’t thank Miner’s enough for all that they do and have done for our organization and the community.”
