Four goal third period lifts Rock Ridge boys hockey past Proctor
A four goal third period fueled Rock Ridge boys hockey to a 4-1 victory over Proctor Thursday at St. Luke’s Sports & Event Center in Proctor.
The first two periods ended scoreless. Grady Dimberio finally put the Wolverines on the board scoring short handed in the first minute of the third period. Caz Carlson added a power play goal for the 2-0 Rock Ridge lead.
Austin Bryant cut that lead in half scoring for Proctor. Then Carlson and Rory Cope-Robinson added two empty-netters to win 4-1.
Rock Ridge goaltender Ryan Rothfork recorded 34 saves, while Proctor’s AJ Reyelts tallied 41.
The Wolverines improve to 14-2-1 and next visit Duluth East Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Proctor (12-6) next hosts Ely Tuesday at 6 p.m.
