Multiple vehicle breaks-ins reported at Superior Hiking Trail parking area

The Duluth Police Department reported that they responded to six vehicle prowls at the Ely’s Peak Superior Hiking Trail parking area between Sunday and Monday.

The suspected individual, or individuals, gained entry to the vehicles by breaking the windows of the vehicles.

Reporting parties noted that nothing of significance was taken from the vehicles.

The Duluth Police Department provided the following the statement, “The Duluth Police Department wants to remind those who are enjoying public places to park in well-lit areas, lock their vehicle at all times, not keep valuables in a visible area, and lock valuables in a secure spot.”
