Well one thing is for sure. This warmer air is nice, but the fog is a real pain. Slick roads will once again be problem tonight as fog, freezing fog, and even of few light flurries stick around. This means we could be seeing some slow traveling during the early morning hours just like what we saw this morning. However, it wasn’t just the roads, sidewalks and driveways were slippery too. This fog looks to slowly lift Friday night into Saturday.

By noon on Saturday some parts of the Northland will see the end of fog and the start to a little sun. Increased sunshine, along with gusty winds by early next week could create the perfect conditions for quick snow melt. Remember the Duluth area only has a 5” snowpack currently, by Wednesday of next week this could all be gone as temperatures around the region climb into the 40s.
