UMD men’s hockey survives roller coaster game, beats Miami Ohio in OT
In a game where the UMD men’s hockey team held a 2-1 lead late in the game, the Bulldogs and Miami Ohio RedHawks went to overtime, with the Bulldogs squeezing out a 3-2 overtime victory.
After a scoreless first period, Ben Steeves net his fourth goal of the two game series on the power play, giving the Bulldogs the 1-0 advantage.
The RedHawks would soon tie the game up at 1-1, but before the end of the second period, Riley Bodnarchuk scored to give the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead.
That lead would remain until the RedHawks scores with just under two minutes left to force overtime, where Anthony Menghini did the trick for the Bulldogs, giving them the win.
UMD is back on the ice against Omaha next Friday.
