UMD men’s, women’s basketball take care of Bemidji State
Both the UMD men’s and women’s basketball teams defeated Bemidji State on Saturday, as the men won 90-71 and the women won 71-51.
On the men’s side, a barrage of three pointers at the end of the first half gave them a lead substantial enough to build off of in the second half, as they outscored the Beavers 40-33.
Drew Blair and Charlie Katona led the way for the Bulldogs, scoring 23 and 18 respectively. It’s the pairs second game of the weekend leading the entire team in scoring.
They’re back in action on Tuesday against Minnesota State Mankato.
On the women’s side, 51% shooting from the field and four scores in double digits was the key to victory for the Bulldogs.
They’re now winners of two straight and are hitting their stride mid season, especially on the defensive end of the floor.
The Bulldogs are back in action against MSU Mankato on Tuesday.
