If I would have told you back in October that we would only have a total of 17” of snow in Duluth and the end of January and beginning of February would see 40s and 50s, every single Northlander would have called me crazy. This crazy weather train were on appears to be running on an endless supply of fuel because there is no stopping it now. The train won’t even make stops along the way. Today record highs were set in I’Falls, Hibbing, and Brainerd. These areas climbed into the 50s. To see 50s this time of year has completely shocked me.

A weak front will pass through the region tonight and cool the temperatures down a little. Some light patchy fog may develop early Thursday morning. Winds will be off the lake and make temps cooler by the lake than farther inland. Highs through the rest of the week will continue to be above average by 10-15 degrees. By the weekend, more sunshine and 40s return to the region. These 40s will likely stick around through the end of next week.
