UMD men’s hockey stifled by #20 Omaha
The UMD men’s hockey team couldn’t get their skates under them on Saturday night, as a goal in the first 20 seconds had them chasing all night, eventually falling 4-3 against #20 Omaha.
The first period saw most of the scoring action, as the Bulldogs allowed a goal in the opening seconds but were able to bounce back and tie the game at 1-1 thanks to a Connor McMenamin goal.
However, after an Omaha goal to end the period, UMD was down 2-1 before Omaha added another in the second to go up 3-1.
Blake Biondi scored in the third period to cut the deficit to 3-2 until Omaha extended their lead to 4-2.
Matthew Perkins would score to make it 4-3, but the Bulldogs couldn’t muster up any offense after that.
UMD is back in action against Denver on Friday.
