Duluth East took first place in both the boy’s and girl’s divisions of the Section 7 Alpine ski meet held Tuesday at Giants Ridge in Biwabik.

Duluth East’s Erik Carlson claimed the boy’s title with a combined two-run time of 1:16.77. Then East’s Elisabeth Bergan claimed the girl’s title with a combined two-run time of 1:22.80.

The next top Northland finishers were Proctor-Hermantown Alpine Ski Team’s (PHAST) Annabel Hansen taking second in the girl’s division, and Cook County’s Cy Oberholzer finishing third amongst the boys.

The State Alpine ski meet is Tuesday, February 13 at Giants Ridge.

The Section 7 Nordic meet is Wednesday, and the State Nordic ski meet is Feb. 14-15 back in Biwabik.
