The Ronald McDonald House Upper Midwest celebrates three years
Saturday, February 10th marked a significant milestone for the Ronald McDonald House Upper Midwest as they celebrated three years of service in the community. Program Manager Paula Broschofsky joined Good Morning Northland to provide an update on their progress and share ways people can continue to support the organization.
Paula says she’s grateful for the strong community support they’ve received over the past three years. “We’ve really been able to establish some good community contacts, which has been huge. As a nonprofit organization, we really rely on the local community to keep us going,” she explained.
Marking the anniversary holds personal significance for Paula. “It’s big. I know there was a long time coming for one to come up to the Northland here. So for us to have been here for three years now, it kinda blows my mind,” she shared.
As part of their ongoing fundraising efforts, the Ronald McDonald House is partnering with Grandma’s Marathon. “We actually still have bibs for all races still available,” Paula revealed. Individuals interested in participating can acquire bibs through Grandma’s website.
In addition to fundraising events like marathons, Paula highlighted various ways people can support the Ronald McDonald House. This includes food donations, monetary contributions, and recycling aluminum pop tabs.
Volunteer opportunities are also available, such as the “Cooks for Kids” program, where groups can sign up to prepare meals for families staying at the house.
