Sabrina Ullman: Chance of severe storms this evening; clear start to week.

A line of strong thunderstorms has already developed, and more are likely this evening, mainly before 11pm. There is a risk for some of these thunderstorms becoming severe and capable of producing damaging winds, hail up to a quarter-sized, and heavy downpours. Rainfall amounts will mostly be between half an inch and an inch, but localized, heavier amounts could occur.
Overnight lows will be in the fifties to low sixties. The rain will clear out late tonight, leaving a mostly sunny Monday. Tomorrow will be cooler, with afternoon highs ranging from the upper sixties in the Arrowhead and the U.P. to the upper seventies for portions of the Northland stretching from the Twin Ports to Brainerd.
Our dry weather will be brief- rain returns as soon as late Monday night. Tuesday will start with rain and a few weak thunderstorms. Following an afternoon break from rain, another round will move through in the evening. The evening round of storms on Tuesday could have severe thunderstorms form.
Rain will continue into Wednesday morning, clear out Thursday and most of Friday, and then chances increase going into the weekend.

Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Breezy, with a northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Tuesday
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Breezy, with a southeast wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Wednesday
A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10am, then a chance of showers between 10am and 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Breezy, with a southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Sunny, with a high near 76. North wind around 5 mph becoming south in the afternoon.
