Proctor’s A.J. Reyelts named Frank Brimsek Award finalist.
Ahead of Proctor’s big time clash with Hermantown tomorrow in the section semifinals, the Rails anchor between the pipes got some good news.
Proctor’s A.J. Reyelts has been named one of three statewide finalists for the Frank Brimsek award, which goes to the top senior goaltender in Minnesota boy’s high school hockey.
So far this season, Reyelts has posted a 14-4 record and a .950 save percentage.
If Reyelts were to win, he’d become the first Northlander to do so since Grand Rapids’ Hunter Shepard in 2014.
The winner will be announced at the annual Mr. Hockey/Frank Brimsek award banquet on March 10th in St. Paul.
