Duluth Playhouse’s ‘Singing with the Stars’ brings local celebrities together to raise money for the arts

Friday, the Duluth Playhouse brought together ten local celebrities to live out their Broadway dreams, as they all performed musical theatre numbers at the NorShor Theatre.

With two intermissions the audience got to vote on their favorite acts which raised money to support the Playhouse.

Executive Director Wes Drummond says, “The money that is raised at this event will go towards supporting the school of performing arts and also help pay for local artists who work at the Playhouse.’

The fundraiser featured musical numbers from the likes of ‘Chicago’, ‘Cabaret’, ‘Guys & Dolls’, ‘Shucked’, ‘Wicked’, and more.
