UWS' Dan Laughlin retires as head women's hockey coach after 21 seasons
One of the longest tenured coaches in Division III women’s hockey is retiring.
The University of Wisconsin-Superior’s (UWS) Dan Laughlin is stepping down as the Yellowjackets women’s hockey head coach after 21 seasons.
Taking over in 2003 he’d earn 300 career wins. In fact, also serving as an assistant coach for one season in 2002, Laughlin was behind the bench for 308 of the program’s 359 total wins. His overall head coaching record ended as 300-209-44.
The 1994 UWS graduate earned conference Coach of the Year honors six times, and was an NCAA DIII Coach of the Year finalist seven times.
