UMD men’s hockey sweeps #17 St. Cloud State to end regular season on high note
The UMD men’s hockey team has been through a roller coaster of a season, but the Bulldogs were able to end their regular season slate on a high note, beating #17 St. Cloud State 4-2 to sweep the series.
After a scoreless first period, there was an explosion of second period goals, with Connor McMenamin and Owen Gallatin finding the back of the net to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead.
In the third, with a 2-2 tie, Aiden Dubinsky scored his third goal of the year and third goal of the game to give UMD a lead.
Later, after the Huskies pulled their goalie, Luke Loheit scored to round out the game at 4-2.
UMD now awaits their NCHC tournament opponent.
