Even though a cool front moved in last night, we saw another record-breaking day. Many temperatures were in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Duluth hit another record high of 63°F breaking the old record of 60°F. Near-critical fire weather conditions happened today for much of east-central and northeast Minnesota as well as northwest Wisconsin due to low humidity, warm temperatures, and gusty winds.

Colder conditions will return Wednesday and Thursday as winds will be off the lake and cool the shoreline communities down near 20°F. There is a slight chance for some light rain/snow Thursday over parts of northwest Wisconsin. Temperatures will cool off by the weekend and be a little closer to normal when we drop into the 30s. There is a chance of a wintry mix up north Friday night into Saturday.
