Former UMD Bulldog Blake Biondi commits to Notre Dame men’s hockey
Just days after entering the transfer portal, Blake Biondi has made his decision, as the former UMD Bulldog and Mr. Hockey Minnesota 2020 winner will leave the state altogether and head to Notre Dame.
The former Hermantown Hawk burst onto the scene for the Bulldogs in his sophomore year, leading UMD with 17 goals, but had his junior year cut short due to injury.
This past year, Biondi tallied 8 goals and 10 assists in 24 games.
Biondi will graduate from UMD in May with a double major in business and marketing before pursuing his Master’s degree at Notre Dame and playing his fifth year of college hockey.
Biondi has a fifth year of eligibility due to joining the Bulldogs as a freshman during the Covid-19 pandemic season of 2020-2021.
