We’ve already lost much of the snowpack from last week’s winter storm, and we’ll continue to see melting over a quiet week without adding much in terms of additional snow to the region. The first day of April is seasonable with low to mid-40s for inland areas, but it’ll be a touch cooler near Lake Superior in the mid-30s due to a breezy east wind.

A system to the south will track from Kansas this morning to near Michigan by Tuesday night, and most of the precipitation from that will stay south of the Northland. Light snow will try and reach across northwest Wisconsin from the south through the day Tuesday, and any accumulation would remain very light. A separate system in Manitoba will send light snow and wintry mix chances from the northwest across north central Minnesota tonight into Tuesday.

Those two minimal rounds of precip are all that we have in the forecast for the region. The weather pattern will shift into something both dry and warm by the end of the week and over the weekend with 50s for much of the region. The exception will be areas closer to Lake Superior as a breezy east wind looks to develop on Friday and continue each day through Monday.
