Duluth East & Duluth Marshall baseball earn season opening wins at Wade Stadium
On Thursday both the Duluth East and Duluth Marshall baseball teams earned season opening wins over Cloquet at Wade Stadium.
In the first game, Duluth East downed Cloquet 7-4. The Greyhounds held a 6-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth. Duluth East’s Dylan Cole went four-for-four in at bats, recording two RBI, while Jackson Spoden added two RBI of his own. On the mound, Bjorn Lind recorded 10 strikeouts allowing only one hit in four innings pitched for the Greyhounds.
Duluth East (1-0) is next set to battle Duluth Denfeld Tuesday, April 9 at Wade Stadium at 4:30 p.m.
In the second game, Duluth Marshall defeated Cloquet 8-1. The Hilltoppers (1-0) are next scheduled to visit Aitkin Thursday, April 11 at 4:30 p.m. Cloquet (0-2) is next set to visit South Ridge Tuesday, April 9 at 4 p.m.
