Tech Bytes: Microsoft AI turns photos into videos
Apple has reportedly stopped production of its fine-woven accessories. The fine woven material used for iPhone cases and apple watch bands was touted as an environmentally friendly alternative to leather. But customers complained about dirt, scuffs and durability.
An apparent new security step for those using Google Wallet with the “Wear” operating system. Users are now being required to enter a pin before tap-to-pay transactions are allowed. Until now, you just had to open the Watch app and tap, to make a purchase.
Microsoft’s AI has gotten even smarter. It’s now able to turn pictures into realistic videos of people talking and singing. The tool is called VASA-1. It’s able to generate facial expressions and movements for still photos. So far its just an experimental.
