John Peura announces candidacy for Carlton County Commissioner

Wednesday, John Peura announced that he is entering the race for 5th District County Commissioner in Carlton County.

Peura from Moose Lake has experience as an substitute teacher, bus driver, union member and mental health practitioner. He most recently served as the public member on the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education.

John Peura told WDIO that the current 5th District Commissioner is not seeking re-election this year.
