You can take a ride with Thomas the Train this weekend

Thomas the Train is in Duluth for the weekend at the North Shore Scenic Railroad, and you can spend a whole day hanging with him down at the depot as a part of “A Day Out with Thomas!”

Tickets are twenty-two dollars per person for Thomas, ages one and up.

Along with your ticket purchase, a 25-minute train ride is included, it will through Duluth to Lake Superior. With your ticket purchase, riders have to pick a specific ride time to ride aboard Thomas.

Babies under 1-year-old do not need a ticket to get in.

Gates will open up every day starting at 8:30 a.m. And close at 5:00p p.m.

Attending the event gets you access to many activities. The executive of the Lake Superior railroad museum breaks down what all you can do.

“We have a bouncy house, miniature golf, and got bubbles; we got all sorts of things, plus the railroad museum itself, miniature train rides, trolley rides and live music, and magic shows in our performance area. There is a ton of fun coming with Thomas by the train load.”

There is some unique about this event that will happen on Thursday, August 11th, that is very special for anyone with any form of autism can enjoy.

“All of the activities that happen at this event can be outputting. It is loud, it is nosey; there is a lot of people, and so we do Sensory Day. We shrink the event down to we keep the crowd to only 200 hundred people a train ride as opposed to 600 hundred a train ride. No loud noises, no bells, no whistles, and orderly events.”

Thomas the Train will be back in Duluth from August 12th through the 14th.
