GMN Music Guest: Skarlett Woods
Skarlett Woods is a local singer-songwriter. She is playing the Homegrown Music Festival on Friday, May 3rd at the Owl's Club.
Skarlett Woods joined Good Morning Northland for a performance and to discuss her upcoming performance at the Duluth Homegrown Festival on Friday, May 3rd at 6:15 p.m. at the Owls Club. It is a 21+ show with free admission.
Skarlett Woods joined us for our Homegrown artist showcase. Inspired by Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and others Woods has been described as a powerful artist in the music community.
Skarlett received winning placements in Duluth’s Dylan Fest Songwriting Contest in both 2022 and 2023 for her songs, “Close To You (Braver These Days)” and “Me, I, Me, Me”. Her original work has been compared to Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Norah Jones and Brandi Carlile. Her second album, Letters to the West, was released in October.
