Esko baseball runs past Two Harbors for eighth straight win

On Tuesday the Esko baseball team protected their perfect record defeating Two Harbors 13-3 at Esko School Fields to improve to 8-0 on the season.

Offensively, Esko was led by Sam Haugen who recorded three runs, two hits and five RBI, and Jamis Halverson who had three runs, two hits and one RBI. The Agates were led by Brenner Quinn with one hit and three RBI.

On the mound, Esko pitchers Sam Haugen and Connor Pearce, and the Agates’ Thor Tokvam all recorded five strikeouts each.

Esko (8-0) next visits Carlton/Wrenshall Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Two Harbors (1-5) next hosts Crosby-Ironton for a doubleheader Saturday at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
