Summer Music in the Park returns to Virginia

According to the Office of Parks and Recreation of Virginia, their Summer Music in the Park series is returning in 2024 featuring 15 different artists. The Music in the Park series begins Tuesday, June 4th and goes through August 27th.

This is the fifth year that the City of Virginia has decided to continue the weekly events. The concerts will take place around the fountain in Olcott Park every Tuesday evening beginning at 6 p.m. The second band will take the stage at 8 p.m. and fireworks will be set off at around 10 p.m.

There will also be Thursday night City Band concerts which will take place at the Bandstand in the center of Olcott Park starting at 7:00pm.

Visitors should bring seating arrangements with them whether it is a chair or a blanket. There will also be food truck vendors supplying food and refreshments.
