Fill-a-Truck, Feed-a-Family Food and Fund Drive coming up in June
The Duluth-Superior Transportation Association is gearing up to help feed neighbors in need.
They are organizing their Fill-a-Truck, Feed-a-Family Food and Fund Drive, June 6th-8th.
Trucks will be at the Super One stores in Superior, Cloquet, and the Miller Hill Duluth locations. You can also drop off food at the other Twin Ports locations in designated drop spots.
You’re encouraged to donate food or money, which will go to Second Harvest Northland.
The DSTA has been doing this for 10 years now, although one year it was online due to the pandemic.
Richie Rochel, president of the association, told us, “We time it to coincide with the end of the school year, since we know some families rely on schools for meals. So we can help restock the food shelf with this drive”
Usually they bring in about 6000 pounds, but inflation lowered that number a bit last year.
